    job description

    Established maker of automotive interior trim components seeks a SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER for its manufacturing facility located outside of AUGUSTA, GA. The SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER will manage internal and external quality data collection / corrective action efforts, and act as the liaison between the company and its suppliers / customers on quality related issues. IMMEDIATE, DIRECT-HIRE OPPORTUNITY WITH A WORLD CLASS ORGANIZATION!

    Responsibilities

    • Development of APQP / PPAP plans (programs) for suppliers
    • Conducts audits at supplier sites
    • Maintain, write and follow TS16949 guidelines
    • Organize and monitor improvement plans with suppliers

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree (OR related work experience) with at least three years of experience in automotive industry quality engineering / supplier quality enginering
    • Demonstrated knowledge of 8-D’s, APQP, PPAP, FMEA and other required quality system tools
    • Experience in / exposure to interior trim components (plastic/foam) highly desired
