    job description

    Client that designs & constructs refineries and gas processing plants is looking for a Sr. Project Engineer/Project Engineering Manager for their project execution division in Houston. You need 10-15+ years of experience supporting large, heavy industrial plant EPC projects and MUST HAVE some experience specifically on Olefins, Ammonia, Fertilizer, Hydrogen, Reformer, Syngas, Air Separation or Gasification Plant EPC projects. *** salary is commensurate with experience ***

    Responsibilities for the Project Engineer

    • Act as a technical generalist in a variety of disciplines (equipment, civil, structural, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical)
    • Act as the overall coordinator for all internal and external engineering on projects as required
    • Responsible for the successful integration of the piping, equipment, civil/structural, instrument, and electrical design activities
    • Ensure technical requirements defined in the contract are properly incorporated in the engineering deliverables
    • Support Construction by attending sites on a regular basis to ease the flow of and resolution of field RFI’s
    • Prepare Construction Bid Package documents, in collaboration with construction engineering, for project construction subcontracts

    Requirements for the Project Engineer

    • 10-15+ years of engineering experience supporting large, heavy industrial plant EPC projects
    • 5+ years of specific engineering experience as a Project Engineer supporting Olefins, Ammonia, Fertilizer, Hydrogen, Reformer, Syngas, Air Separation or Gasification Plant EPC projects
    • Broad understanding of the major design engineering disciplines, i.e., Piping, Equipment, Process, Civil/Structural, Instrumentation, & Electrical
    • A BSME degree is ideal, but our client will consider candidates with other Engineering degrees
