A Die Designer is needed for a leading manufacturing organization. The Die Designer is responsible for developing engineering designs for progressive, transfer dies as well as stamping and assembly processes. Qualified candidates must have 7+ years' of die design, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Solidworks. This is a direct hire role located in the Hartford, CT metro area. Some relocation may be budgeted for qualified regional candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Develop blank shape and mass
  • Develop progressive and transfer die layout
  • Determine the number of work stations needed to create a part
  • Create bill of materials
  • Attend customer meeting to determine scope of products and orders

Requirements

  • 7+ years' of die design
  • Must be proficient with AutoCAD and Solidworks
  • Must had a foundational understanding of die tear-down and assembly
  • A Degree is preferred
