Research into new business ventures led our company founder and president to discover that a market existed for a technical service organization that could better pinpoint talented professionals in the Engineering field.
Atlanta Technical Support (ATSjobs.com) was incorporated in 1988 to provide industry with contract and direct hire staffing services for Engineering, Information Technologies and Telecommunications personnel.
In 1999, the company expanded into Charlotte, NC and Jacksonville, FL. In order to more accurately portray the scope of its services, the company name and website was changed to Think Resources (ThinkJobs.com).
A success story
Since its inception, the company has placed more than 14,000 technical candidates in various technical positions on six continents in more than 1,000 companies. Today, Think Resources has grown to more than 500 employees with annual revenues expecting to exceed $50 million.
The company's growth to one of the largest service organizations in our industry is a direct result of the perspective the president and the managers gained during their years of employment with Fortune 500 companies. They have been on "the same side of the table" as the hiring manager. This perspective has given them a better understanding of a manager's technical personnel requirements. Think Resources has invested in a Client-Server based database and telemarketing system that compares the client's requirements against our candidate database. The search system can almost instantaneously process through nearly 2 million candidates. The resulting computer search yields a list of potential candidates. Those candidates are contacted using a state-of-the-art telephone network management system. This virtually paperless process allows the recruiters to swiftly locate available candidates
Industry knowledge
Think Resources's senior recruiters and account representatives are either degreed engineers, information technology personnel or individuals with solid industrial experience. They are fully capable of comprehending a client's technical staffing needs.
Focused response to a client's need
Extensive phone screening, office interviewing and reference checking are some of the steps that must be taken to ensure that a qualified candidate is selected. The computer database and telemarketing system releases the recruiter from the drudgery of sifting through stacks of paper resumes.
