Client that designs, installs and maintains heavy industrial elevators, hoists and cranes is looking for a Field Service/Maintenance Technician with 3+ years of relevant experience. You will service customers in San Francisco, CA and Reno, NV as well as the surrounding region. Excellent pay including OT pay.

Responsibilities for the Field Service Technician

  • Live anywhere in this region and travel to customer sites in San Francisco, CA and Reno, NV as well as the surrounding region and provide maintenance services to industrial elevators at power plants, refineries, and similar heavy industrial plants
  • Trouble-shoot and diagnose problems in electric brakes, motors, switches, variable frequency drives and PLC control systems
  • Repair and/or replace faulty components to return elevator to fully operational status
  • Install and dismantle rack & pinion construction/industrial elevators
  • Provide maintenance as required or needed
  • Complete all required client and company specific paperwork in a timely manner

Requirements for the Field Service Technician

  • Experience in repair and service of elevators (industrial or commercial) is needed
  • You need an elevator repair license or certification in the state of California or Nevada
  • If you do not have a certification, you need to be willing to take the test to get certified within the first month of work
  • You need a solid combination of hands on electrical, mechanical and PLC control maintenance experience
  • Must be able to work independently from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and parts lists
  • Must be willing to travel regionally, work overtime and provide own hand tools
  • Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Must be able to work at heights
