Engineering Director needed for a growing manufacturer located north of Milwaukee. The Engineering Director is responsible for supervision of engineering personnel and activities to assure adequate support is provided to employees and management to consistently meet customer schedule and quality expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that direct and indirect reports clearly understand work objectives and use the talent, tools, and processes required to enable successful satisfaction of customer schedule and design quality expectations
  • Instill a customer service culture of continuous improvement aligned to strengthening practical execution of company values (Highest Quality, Family, Innovation, Value, Education, and Service)
  • Provide justification for infrastructure and capital improvements to enhance work flow. Assure compliance within scope of responsibility to the department budget. Provide input into annual budget and strategic planning.Conduct talent and process gap analyses and formulate gap closure plans

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering required. Additional MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years employee management experience in a product development engineering environment (new product development and product line maintenance engineering).
  • Proficient in coaching/mentoring engineering analytical methods (DOE,QFD/CPM, DFMEA, robust design, mathematical modeling, reliability analysis,…) consistent with a DFSS framework.
