A Electrical Reliability Engineer is needed for a leading utility. The Electrical Reliability Engineer is responsible to develop, test, and document preventative and predictive reliability strategies on electrical equipment throughout the plant. Daily tasks include evaluating equipment and developing plans to expand life expectancy, conducting a variety of tests on equipment, managing motor maintenance program, and the generator testing program. Qualified candidates must have 7+ years' of related reliability experience within a power generation facility. A BSEE is preferred, although related experience will be considered. This is a direct hire role located in Columbia, MO. Relocation is available for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities for the Reliability Engineer

• Develop plans to extend the life expectancy of electrical equipment including breakers, motors, cable in plant, and transformers
• Conduct a variety of plant tests including partial discharge analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasonic listening, breaker testing, and related visual techniques
• Manage the motor program when goes out for maintenance; create guidelines for testing of motors when they come back in-house
• Utilize a CMMS for the breaker maintenance and inspection; Work toward reducing failure rate
• Conduct root cause analysis and write reports as to why systems failed and how to prevent in future

Requirements for the Reliability Engineer

• 7+ years' of related reliability experience within a power generation facility
• Robust knowledge of reliability strategy
• Proficient with a CMMS is required
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to regional plants
• BS in Electrical Engineering is preferred
