Immediate need for an Quality Technician located in Columbus, GA for a growing manufacturer that services the industrial and transportation markets. This role is responsible to calibrate instruments and gages used in the inspection and measurement systems. Candidate must have at least an Associate degree in technical field with at least two (2) years experience calibrating instruments and gages within a manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity to join a stable and growing organization.

Responsibilities for the Quality Technician

  • Calibrate and repair plant gauges and instruments such as scales, calipers, pressure guages, temperature gauges, micrometers and voltmeters
  • Track the calibration records of these instruments and gages.
  • Repair gauges and order new ones
  • Track Calibration records on computer system.
  • Writing, revising and maintaining calibration procedures and instructions.
  • Preparing new equipment for the manufacturing floor

Requirements for the Quality Technician

  • Associate degree in technical field (Willing to also consider someone with an Engineering degree)
  • Must have at least two (2) years of calibration experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience calibrating and repairing scales, calipers, and gauges (pressure, temperature)
  • Experience tracking Calibration records on computer system
