A global provider of engineered electronics is seeking an Applications Engineer to join its engineering team. This engineer will be developing application notes for new and existing products. The ideal candidate will be able to read and understand detailed technical documents such as design drawings, process and product specifications, schematics, test reports.This is a full time opportunity in Carrollton, TX.


  • Develop application notes for new and existing products
  • Develop and implement validation plans for new products as well as die-level qualification plans
  • Develop evaluation kits for customers
  • Write software for test platforms, application boards, automated testers and microcontrollers
  • Develop schematics and PCBs for evaluation boards and internal development boards
  • Analyze data to thoroughly understand / resolve problems. Present analysis and conclusions to customer/internal teams in an effective manner
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with New Product Development team, Quality, FAB, and Assembly sites


  • A bachelor’s degree or above in electrical engineering or an equivalent science is required
  • 4 years of industry experience is required (applications and test development)
  • Ability to read and understand detailed technical documents such as design drawings, process and product specifications, schematics, test reports
  • Ability to utilize applicable CAD/CAE development tools
  • Expertise in designing and reviewing boards, fixtures and sockets
  • Experience working in a laboratory setting and familiarity with a wide variety of test equipment
