Large EPC client is looking for a Director of Project Management to join their team in Houston. You need 15-25 years of engineering & construction experience supporting heavy industrial plant EPC projects. You need at least 10 years of project management experience supporting EPC projects in the petrochem or related oil & gas industry. Our client offers excellent pay, benefits, relocation package and bonus program. Responsibilities - Direct all aspects of Project Management covering all project phases from basic and detail engineering, procurement, project controls, construction and commissioning
- Direct a group of Project Managers and support staff on petrochem, refinery, & gas processing plant EPC projects
- Overall responsibility for the project management department, including project schedules, work assignments, budgets, & manpower expenditures
- Interfacing with other managers, engineers, vendors and clients as required to achieve project goals
- Interfacing with Sales and Contract Administration on project development and contract negotiation to assure an orderly transition to the project execution stage
- Works in close cooperation with company headquarters in Europe and other global company locations
- Be responsible for all project management processes & guidelines for all offices in North America
Requirements - 20+ years of progressive engineering and project experience supporting heavy industrial plant EPC projects
- You need 10+ years of project management experience managing 10-300+ million dollar petrochemical or related oil & gas EPC projects
- You need to have experience working with a large EPC firm in a global work share environment
- The ideal candidate is either a Manager of Projects or a Sr. Project Manager ready to take the next step up to Director of Project Management
- You should expect domestic & international travel about 25% of the time
- BSME or BSChE degree is preferred, but all technical degrees will be considered
- Project Management certification (PMI/PMP) or PE registration would be a big PLUS
- You need experience working for a global, international company
