An American global diversified industrial company is currently seeking an Controls Project Manager in the Maitland, FL area. This is a 6-month CONTRACT position. No per diem available.


  • Organize and plan assigned projects, create schedules and project limitations, and set guidelines to accomplish goals. Communicate with customers as well as their representatives which can include building owners, contractors, and other support staff.
  • Implement risk analysis and evolving risk plans to review contracts and estimates. Communicate and meet with contractors and owners to discuss the goals of projects, budgets performance and close-out. Assist the sales function by helping with quote preparations and plans.
  • Create and review project schedules. Prepare sub-contractor request for quotation’s (RFQ) including: range statements, plans and milestone dates, and billing schedule. Receive subcontractor proposals; supervise assigned project teams and subcontractors. Analyze technician work orders, evaluate project plans and specifications, and asses project progress.
  • Responsible for project cash-flow management. Responsible for change-order management by recommending solutions, facilitating quotes and closing orders. Maintain customer satisfaction by exploring concerns, applying the correct action, and maintaining contact with customers and staff.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • A minimum of five years of HVAC controls project management experience; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Project management experience with proof of managing multiple projects at the same time.
  • Must have strong financial and business know-how and a history of managingprojects on time and on budget.
  • Experience working directly with building owners preferred. Must be able to travel locally.
