Project Engineer needed for an immediate permanent opportunity in the Tewksbury, MA area with a phenomenal organization! This position will lead the manufacturing equipment selection, procurement, installation, and start-up for an aseptic manufacturing line. The right person will have 5+ years relevant experience working with sterile machinery within the pharmaceutical industry. Someone with a solid background specifically with aseptic manufacturing process technologies and facilities would be a great match for this role, but will take a motivated Engineer ready to move to a Project Engineer role. Bachelors degree in engineering preferred, along with a good lean manufacturing background! Apply now for immediate consideration.

Responsibilities

  • Working with internal Validation resources, vendors, and contractors, ensure that the manufacturing equipment meets all commissioning, qualification, and validation requirements.
  • Identify and control project risks using appropriate risk management tools and engagement in contingency planning
  • Manage contractors and equipment vendors to ensure all aspects of the project are completed to specification, on schedule and budget. Inspect or direct the inspection of work to ensure conformance to design drawings, specifications, schedules, and safety regulations
  • Develop, manage and maintain up-to-date MS Project Timelines inclusive of all critical milestones, key interdependencies and resource constraints, applying appropriate project scheduling techniques
  • Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies (e.g., FDA, NRA, EPA, OSHA) and community officials relative to manufacturing equipment, and address inquiries by government agencies in a timely manner

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent experience along with 5+ years experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong knowledge with aseptic / pharma manufacturing equipment
  • Experience with manufacturing process within the Pharma industry and facilities layout is key
  • Lean experience and training preferred
  • Proven track record in pharmaceutical capital projects
