An American multinational corporation specializing in Internet-related services and products is currently seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer in the Mountain View, CA area. This is a 1-year CONTRACT position. No per diem available.

Responsibilities

  • Work with reliability to determine root cause analysis and corrective actions for top issues in order to decrease or eliminate their occurrence.
  • Create a clear understanding for all failures seen in testing, and work with reliability and design engineers to determine any impact they would have in the field, or any risk they would have for product development.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, and/or a related field. Two years of experience in failure analysis, reliability, or a manufacturing engineering role.
  • Experience with optical microscope, thermal camera, dye and pry, solder station, multimeter, oscilloscope, and cross-sectioning.
