A manufacturing company considered one of the world’s leading innovators in materials science is looking for a Plastic Process Entry Level Engineer in the Kennebunk, ME area. This is a 1-year CONTRACT position. No per diem is available. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Overtime is not expected but can be approved prior by the manager.


  • Solve problems and improve processes based on and structured problem solving methods such as Designed Experimentation. Support the implementation of Process Control and Process Discipline systems into development line operations.
  • Review process data using statistical tools (e.g. pareto, regression, time charting, analysis of variance, gauge R&R, etc.). Record processes and train operators and peers on defined processes.
  • Conduct laboratory experiments—including the operation of process equipment and analysis of results. Conduct full scale experiments by working with plant operators of manufacturing equipment.


  • Minimum of an Associate's degree. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Ability to set up equipment (plastic processing, metrology, mechanical testing equipment example: Instron).
