Immediate need for a Quality Technician at a leading plastic injection molder and assembly supplier to the automotive industry located just West of Torrington, CT. This position is responsible for the successful creation, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of a strong Quality Management System. This is a direct hire opportunity with the potential for overtime. Must have at least two (2) years of Quality experience within an Automotive or related environment. Excellent benefits are offered. Responsibilities for the Quality Technician

  • Successful creation, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of a strong Quality Management System
  • Creating reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends including failed processes, capability studies, corrective actions, and revalidations
  • Prepares all elements of Customer PPAPs; Reviews Supplier PPAP's
  • Serves as APQP Team member to create Process Flows, PFMEA’s and Control Plans
  • Perform internal quality audits to ensure compliance
  • Responsible to follow all procedures as outlined in ISO-9000/TS16949/ISO 14001
  • Required ability to work from Engineering drawings and specification sheets using instruments such as micrometer, digital calipers, digital indicators, depth gauges, plug gauges, microscope

Requirements for the Quality Technician

  • Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from a college or technical school is preferred
  • Must have at least two (2) years Quality experience within an Automotive or related environment
  • Knowledge and experience with PPAP process
  • Knowledge of Automotive Customer PPAP Requirements
  • Exposure to APQP; Process Flow, PFMEA, and Control Plans
  • Knowledge of GD&T symbols and terms
  • Knowledge and understanding of precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, go/no-go gauges and basic measurement tools
