World-wide maker of automotive parts seeks a MATERIALS MANAGER for its manufacturing facility located inHOPKINSVILLE, KY. The MATERIALS MANAGER oversees the planning, purchasing, procurement, storage, handling, and distribution of materials and products to maintain and increase efficiency, quality, and profitability of operations. IMMEDIATE, DIRECT-HIRE OPPORTUNITY WITH A WORLD-CLASS ORGANIZATION!


  • Work in concert with the supplier base and individual divisional departments to support cost reduction objectives, and continuous improvement efforts in support of divisional goals
  • Provide leadership and demonstrate team building competence
  • Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction opportunities
  • Receive goods in a timely manner, accurately document, and deliver all purchased material to the specific storage and/or in-plant destination.


  • Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years experience in Materials or Supply Chain Management in a manufacturing facility
  • Ability to lead, coach, and mentor assiciates in a multi-shift environment
  • Demonstrated experience in continuius improvement/lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Automotive industry experience highly desired
