Power Gen client is looking for a Project Coordinator to help support capital construction or demolition projects mainly in New Jersey. You need 3+ years of relevant experience and need to be local or within a commutable distance to South Plainfield or one of their power plants within New Jersey.

Responsibilities for the Project Coordinator

  • Provide support to the power plant Environmental Affairs department by working with Engineering & Project Managers on ongoing and new Projects
  • Scheduling the removal of project solid waste and residual recovery pickups
  • Responsible for field documenation (T&Ms) field notes, manifests, BOLs etc..) management
  • Perform some project management functions relating to permitting (scheduling, Communication with Regulators, budget planning/tracking support, etc...)

Requirements for the Project Coordinator

  • You need 3+ years of experience as an Environmental Specialist or Coordinator working on construction projects in the state of New Jersey
  • An AS, BA or BS degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Construction Management, or Chemistry would be a PLUS
  • You need to have a good understanding of county, state & federal environmental regulations
  • Evironmental experience as it pertains to waste management, disposal and construction oversight
