Contract position: An American multinational corporation specializing in Internet-related services and products is currently seeking a Hardware Test Technician in the Mountain View, CA area. This is a `1-year CONTRACT position. No per diem available.


  • Follow established reliability test procedures and perform various environmental and mechanical reliability testing, photographic documentation of test setup and results, and report generation.
  • Perform mechanical testing including shock and vibration, surface durability, material characterization (tensile, compression, etc.) using a load frame, drop testing and tumble testing.
  • Program axial robots. Provide timely updates on testing progress. Responsible for several tests / products throughout the development life cycle.


  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field and at least 3 years of experience in a testing lab or manufacturing with mechanical (some electrical) component / system testing.
  • Knowledge of load cells, strain gauges, accelerometers, and data acquisition systems. Experience with laboratory equipment, sample preparation, and general lab processes.
