A growing international power tool manufacturer has an immediate need for a Product Manager in its Midwestern office. You will manage tool structure platform development, and differentiation, for multiple private brands. Your ability to develop line features and requirements along with your engineering background will make you an excellent candidate for this position.

Responsibilities

• Establish life cycle requirements and feature/benefit packages for product lines
• Establish new product requirements and product launch timing
• Interface with the R&D and Engineering Team to ensure product requirements and pricing targets are met
• Develop differentiated product line positioning strategy and tactics
• Assist in the marketing approach and create support materials for each product initiative
• Assist in the creation of user operating manuals for each product
• Manage and develop relationship with key target customers
• Monitor market trends and be proactive in suggesting new market segments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical and/or electrical engineering
• At least 8 years experience with a focus on Product Management
• Significant power tool or electronic manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of systems engineering principles, requirements management experience, design to cost manufacturability and reliability
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with a focus on Projects, PowerPoint and Excel
• Strong written communications skills
• Willingness to travel to China for two weeks four times a year
• Experience with Chinese manufacturing a plus
