An environmental technology services company in Colorado is actively seeking junior Field Instrumentation Technicians. You will install, operate, and maintain pollution control and measurement equipment in the field at clients’ sites. At least 50 percent travel required. This is a permanent job but the client prefers to hire Contract to Hire. Company will provide training specific to their products.
Responsibilities - Use your experience with mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems to install, operate, and maintain prototype and commercial air pollution control and monitoring equipment
- Read and interpret installation instructions, drawings, and diagrams made by engineers and designers
- Install and calibrate continuous emissions monitors and other analytical systems
- Conduct field evaluations and basic lab analysis to prove equipment function
Requirements - High School diploma
- Associates Degree in Engineering ( Chemical or Mechanical ) preferred
- At least 3 years experience installing instrumentation and equipment at field sites
- Experience in mechanical, electrical and-or electronic field repairs, including pumps, fans, electrical systems, pneumatic tubing, and other analytical-type systems
- Experience with continuous emissions monitoring systems ( CEM ) is a plus
- Experience in the electric power, chemical, or utility industries is a plus
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be available to travel more than 50% of the time, often for 2 or more weeks at a time
- No relocation assistance can be offered so only local candidates or those willing to relocate at their own expense will be considered
